Come Away My Beloved
Scriptures to Battle Rejection
Rejection is a powerful tool the enemy uses to make us feel “less than” others. We may feel that we are not accepted or that we are not worthy of His love. There are many tactics that seem to work real well. It can be monumental occurrences where parents, spouses or family members who are supposed to love and accept us unconditionally, leave. They vanish leaving a hole in our heart and lives. Over time, this can turn into a black hole where it seems many relationships we cherish seem to disappear into leaving us wounded and broken once again.
It can also be something as simple as another person’s words, spoken in jest, or in passing. They sink deep into the heart and make us feel once again that no one is with us. In these moments, it can seem we are alone, rejected, dejected and unaccepted. Our hearts hurt and our minds work against us. There’s only one place to go – straight to the word.
Here we will find comfort.
In His word we find acceptance.
It will declare our purpose and destiny.
After years of rejection and fighting to find my place in this world, and finding it a very shaky place, I turned to the Word of God to strengthen my heart. When humans cannot be trusted – we can believe what the word says about us.
With these thoughts in mind, here is a collection of scriptures compiled to help you battle the rejection that comes at your mind and tries to steal your heart. Believe what HE says about you.
I encourage you to personalize each one – put yourself into it. Use your name or “me” so it’s applicable to you. He loves you and you are not rejected – you are not alone. Read these as often as you need, until you believe it. Let them sink into your heart and know that You are His. You are His beloved.
I am my beloved’s and my beloved is mine.
